About me

Hello! I am Amy Green, a Consulting Astrologer for real life situations. I opened my practice to the public in 2016, and since then have been honored to work with a wide range of people from all over the globe.

In addition to one-on-one client sessions and public workshops, I host Consideration Before Judgment, a membership space for astrological support, facilitated groups, and private tutoring. I have been a teacher in Austin Coppock’s Fundamentals of Astrology Program since 2022, and help clients choose the most supportive materias from Kaitlin Coppock’s Sphere & Sundry. My Story:

Until the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction of January 2011, it never occurred to me that astrology would be a sustained interest of mine, let alone the centerpiece of my work in the world.

I grew up on the water, as the only child of a hard working fisherman. My flower-child mother “took to the woods” for my primary through high school years, where I lived with her in a rustic camp without electricity or running water. I have now experienced life in big cities and at prestigious universities, so straddling the difference between worlds is a thing I come by honestly.

After I had a child of my own, astrology became a lifeline out of abuse. I drew myself a timeline, a map, and a plan. I gained strength from the clarity of the storylines that I found in my own chart and I was able to navigate out of family violence towards a life of belonging and more safety.

I trained to work as a professional Family Advocate, supporting children and caregivers through their own traumatic events. I spent the years of the early pandemic as the lone advocate for a Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) serving six counties in my home state, working alongside our solo Forensic Interviewer. Together, we buffered hundreds of children from direct police interactions. I spent many hours with supportive caregivers and learned how to better help them close the gap that exists for parents between loving intentions and actually trustworthy behaviors.

Since I was learning so much first hand about policing in rural USA, I dove deep into movements against state violence. I instigated the unionization of my fellow non-profit workers and laid a path for our CAC to divest more and more from restrictive funding. We were getting ready to help fill the widening gaps in services and an unchecked backlog of systemic harms.

I followed my interest in helping humans and made use of the abundant continuing education that my role supported; from an overview of different therapeutic models and screening tools, to the models of harm reduction, community response, crisis and safety planning, disability justice, radical community healthcare, transformative justice, and mutual aid.

Now I am independent. I am an Astrologer who helps passionate people re-gain their sense of direction as they navigate all the intensities of life.

I combine the awe of applied astrology with current best practices for direct support work. I am always happy to talk with parents and survivors of CSA about the hardest things. I support singlets and systems alike, and I am no stranger to the barriers, risks, and needs that our friends, family, and neighbors often face.

I love relationship dynamics, no matter how messy. The committed pairs, polycules and families who come to me for compatibility readings are often the highlights of my work week.

I have helped to time the release of many beloved and successful projects. I have incredible artists, musicians, teachers, scientists, civil servants, and authors as clients these days! Whether amateur or professional, I take great joy in nurturing trust in our unique creative processes. We ask and answer questions like, “what can I do to make authentic expression more sustainable?” or “how do I ease into a schedule I’m resisting?” or “how do I articulate the consistent message of my body of work?”.

Did you know? People seeking leadership roles can gain so much from my particular blend of ancient and modern astrology. If you are running a campaign, sponsoring legislation, or building something important, please consider scheduling time with me to talk about using astrology as a tool to help you reach more people, increase your likelihood of success, and see the dynamics at play more clearly.
