I just had my Sessions For Creatives consult with Amy, and it was so surprising and clarifying and uplifting! I am embarking on a new kind of work in my art practice and was feeling unsure about my work habits, my timing, motivations, the Who Am I In This? and generally having some doubts and questions about what instincts of mine to trust versus interrogate or discard. Amy looked at my chart through some really specific lenses of things that i hadn’t known about even as an intermediate astrology student, like the lot of works, planetary events before i was born, and timing periods as well as just aspects in my chart that speak differently about my creative practice than they do about my life in general. They were able to really show me things that i hadn’t seen before about myself and my work that resonated deeply as soon as i heard them, as well as things that sounded foreign, and then when i asked follow up questions about those ideas, amy was able to explain in a way that made me go OOOOOHHHHH! Like so much of the thing where you’ve been looking at something your whole life and then being shown 20 new things about it that you’d never considered but that immediately make perfect sense. What amy said gave me confidence that my worries about focus and sustained attention and being Too In My Head about it were unfounded, and showed me that after years of trying and never sustaining different versions of this practice, this one that I’m doing now is the one that fits the description of what i was always meant to be doing. They showed me how my version and approach to the creation of this work can contribute to my community and is special and necessary. They also were able to give me some really astute specific kind of Dos and Don’ts, like things to keep in mind to get the most enjoyment and success and least amount of stress and doubt and frustration out of my work, as well as times when certain things will be easier or harder, when what aspects of the work will or won’t be emphasized. I’m an astrology nerd but I would absolutely recommend this reading to anyone, from Advanced Astrologer all the way to No Interest In Astrology But Want To Better Understand My Art. Amy is really good at giving people what they need at all levels, whether that’s detailed explanations and deep technical specificity about mechanics in the chart for those of us that want that, or more focus on the practical implications and helpful person-specific guidance based on what they see in the chart without making the client need to learn about why it is that way if they don’t want to, amy is stunningly good at calibrating that balance to any level, and is really really responsive to the direction the person wants to take the conversation in real time. Even if you don’t care that much about astrology, it can be a really good way to penetrate the creative experience, the inner world of Making Art which often defies direct language, like amy would say “youre likely to feel like x when you x” and it made me feel really really seen in a new and super helpful way that even other artists in my community making the same kind of work that i’m making have not seen me. Amy is an accomplished artist too and between that and their outstanding ability to relate to all people generally as well as their many years of experience with the astrology especially consulting and teaching, they have a really unique and extremely handy, encouraging, nourishing/nurturing thing to offer here to the people working in the darkness that is art making which starts in our spirits and minds before we see it take shape in the light as we build it. Amy can see into that dark secret spirit space with you. 100% satisfied, will likely try to do this maybe quarterly or something for the benefit of my practice. Thank you amy! See you again soon for sure!
